The Hawai’i International Film Festival celebrates its 35th Anniversary with thirteen (13) films being showcased at the Historic Waimea Theater on Kaua’i this Thursday (11/19) through Sunday(11/22) including entries from Hawai’i, Japan, South Korea, China and the Philippines.
We will have three (3) directors at the Waimea Theater for their films showings: 1) Mirai Konishi for Kampai! For the Love of Sake on Opening Night; 2) Matt Yamashita for Sons of Halawa; and 3) Ruben Carrillo for Voyage: Into the Depths of Kanaloa! This plus the Sake Tasting Event on Opening Night (Thur 11/19) with complimentary pairings of Japanese Cuisine by Guy Ishihara of Ishihara Market!
