“Voyage of Discovery Art Exhibition Dates Extended Through May 30
The National Tropical Botanical Garden is pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, it has extended the dates of its “Voyage of Discovery” art exhibition through Friday, May 30The exhibit of 30 rarely seen prints is on display in the Juliet Rice Wichman Botanical Research Center at NTBG’s headquarters, 3530 Papalina Road in Kalaheo on most weekdays between10 a.m. and 4 p.m. (confirm times by calling (808) 332-7324, Ext 227 before visiting).”Voyage of Discovery” centers around 30 hand-colored botanical prints made from engraved copperplates based on 18th century watercolors. The collection is named Banks Florilegium for famed British botanist Sir Joseph Banks who accompanied Captain James Cook on his first Pacific voyage.There is no charge for the exhibition but donations are welcome.More information at: http://ntbg.org/art

Community members are invited to bring pu (conch shells) to blow as part of the ceremony
