Showing slides of works by Inga Hunter, one of
Australia’s foremost artists in Mixed Media and
Creator of the Robes of “Imperium” series
PLUS slides of origins of Australian wearable arts,
Some with aboriginal influence
Location:  Kukui Grove Center Exhibition Space
Contact:  Mizu <hawaiigourd@yahoo.com>, 337-1001

Regarding a paragraph on the content of the talk:
“Inga Hunter, whose ability to transform materials has been
inspirational for over 30 years in Australia, is perhaps
best known for her mythical kingdoms, created for her
Robes of the Imperium series. She carefully constructs
what are described as miniature robes of the office bearers
and significant personalities of the ruling classes,
water and forest people and the shamans. Each is highly
detailed and evocative; artifacts have also been created.
Anyone who works in jewellery, paper, ceramics,
texiles or mixed media will be impressed and informed.
So detailed are the pieces that when Inga chooses a subject
for a drawing or painting, she often turns to her own work”
